The Dark Picture Anthology: Man of Medan is a survival horror video game played from a third person perspective in which a single player or multiplayers take control of five different characters trapped on board of the ship ghost. Players are required to make a decision based on the "heads" of their character or their "heart", or may choose for them to do anything, while choosing between different options when interacting with other characters. Election-style option as a compass, the second representative of the 'moral compass' character and reflects the nautical theme of the game.

Narration change and adjust with the choice that the player makes, making it possible for players to keep all the characters played live, or to have some (or all) of them died. Options also affects the personality of the character (which affects the subsequent cutscenes and dialogue options), as well as their relationship to one another. Maybe just because our fathers let us watch Jaws when we were six, but we're always skeptical of the sea. It's wet, and there are strange things in there. Man of Medan - from Till Dawn dev Supermassive Games, and the first in the anthology horror games fall under the banner of Dark Images - seeing four friends stupid seaward looking for the pleasure of nautical persuasion, and found nothing but misery instead. Seriously, do not go in the water, people. No good can come of it.

Although we shouted at the television repeatedly to stay out of the ocean damned, four heroes we relaxed sitting in a boat without a care in the world, drinking beer, and making awkward throws in women salty French sailors they hired to be their guide. During the six hours or so you will control a different character in Man of Medan, making choices that will affect the entire group, and the story will be set in accordance with your decision or lack thereof. In 2019, this is not revolutionary, but in which the Man of Medan - along with Till Dawn - stands apart from most people is that nobody in this game safe. You can get everyone killed if you choose poorly, and which does not lend the danger of air that keeps you on your toes.

Unfortunately, if you do not care about the characters then whether they live or die is not really of much consequence, and this is one of the major problems for Man of Medan. our heroes come in two flavors: the personality-less, or deeply annoying. And all the characters are cursed with the right dialogue, distractingly terrible.

Until Dawn was equally cringe-inducing one liners and cast thoroughly disliked, but got away with it because they feel at home in homage to the cheesy teen slasher films of the '80s and' 90s that inspired it. Man of Medan - while undoubtedly campy - played straight from Till Dawn, and no game that seems to be on top of a joke, a thin narrative, the characters of paper, and write surprising both more visible and more problematic. The only exception here is the character called The Curator: well-dressed gent who appear between scenes to tell you how good or bad you do, and is a perfect blend of creepy and charming.

Another issue for the Man of the field is that it is a scary horror game unscary. It takes ages for the story to get out of first gear, but once things really start to happen it amounted to little more than a telegram a few jumps scared. There are literally half a dozen different variations on your open doors or drawers, or lockers, and something that is emerging. For a long time this is a narrative-based game without much narrative, and it was all very boring, to the point where we really find ourselves deliberately trying to make a bad decision just to see if something would happen.

There are also technical issues to consider. Man of Medan look fantastic at times, but constantly besieged by framerate drops, freezing, and strange animation. We are not being melodramatic here, folks. This constant. You will watch the characters speak and for a split second visual freezes, but the audio continues without any problems, which means that the lip-sync out for the rest of the conversation. THE VERDICT

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan is a strong start to what I hope will be an impressive choice from a virtual horror event. The arrangement here doesn't help me much if I'm truly honest, but the easy-to-remember character, sharp speed, and well-placed fear make it very fun with some friends by your side.

Unfortunately, technical issues are more difficult to ignore when performance problems and visual defects appear even on Xbox One X. This can improve with patches, but it proves to be undeniable interference during my main review. Because of that, I'm ready to jump in to determine the fate of this character once again.

Despite having a much larger game size, those of us who received the Man of Medan assessment room felt smaller than Until Dawn. The plot of the story itself is easier to guess and doesn't surprise us too much. And for some reason, we need character development in this game to feel rather shallow so that it is unable to foster sympathy for them. This is what makes us unsuccessful in saving characters and saving sincerity among those who fail to survive.

Technologically, Medan Man may be proud because it is supported by Unreal 4 Engine which has proven its prowess. However, for us to Dawn it still feels more memorable because of the development of the game which is able to increase adrenaline and tension appropriately. However, thank you that is quite cheap, Medan Men are still very decent to play you, if necessary you intend to play it with friends in one room. This time of the month for the new hidden object game that will be released by Artifex Mundi. As with all the rest of their output Dark Arcana: The Carnival is a story driven puzzle game light, this time the story is that a woman is missing, carnival scary and mysterious parallel dimension.

For those who are new to this genre you control a large circular cursor and use it to interact with objects on the screen. The game plays out as a series of 2D screens each representing a new location in the Carnival of the title. Scattered across the screen are various points of interest that will generally cause a new puzzle game to let the story progress.

Puzzles in Dark Arcana: The Carnival comes in a variety of styles of hidden object through pattern matching or restyle item. Puzzle rotating concentric circles to create an image or connecting wires to complete the circuit. While all the puzzles are relatively simple, and a bit samey in the implementation, the background doing a pretty good job of putting them in a different location to add variety. Selection of the puzzle here is not the best for a game Artifex Mundi, which I felt was a key weakness here.

Having played a fair few games of this style I have now come to appreciate the hidden object scenes and how this varies between games. Dark Arcana: The Carnival seems to be one of the older games with Artifex Mundi because there is less variation in the hidden object scenes, I choose words from the list here than say, also identified silhouette. It's just a small thing, but it does not reduce the range of activities offered.

As with other games Dark Arcana also has a generous hint system, effectively allowing you to skip any puzzles throughout the game, and the puzzle selection alternatives if you do not want to find the hidden objects. The following is an alternative puzzle card matching game that proved to be fun to play. There is no evidence of wall here, a feature that I love about the series enigmatic, but you get the monkey helpers who can be called to reach items could not be accessed. This is a nice feature, and I love my monkey, but it does feel a bit excessive.

Basic gameplay never varies too much between this kind of game and this is something that you will either appreciate or not. There is a shortage of the puzzles here, which may mark this as the previous release of Artifex Mundi, but the story is interesting and keeps me engaged throughout. Dark Arcana: Carnival is another hidden object game is solid. While there is no shortage of variety of puzzles here the story interesting and kept me engaged throughout. I do not think this will do anything to attract new players, but if you're a fan then you will probably enjoy this. You may have noticed that we've been saying "as the title of Artifex Mundi else" or something similar throughout this review for Dark Arcana: The Carnival, and that's because if you have played even one, you will probably find a lot of similarities offered here with the only really change in a setting that sets it apart. But if you do things well, why change it right? Although there is a problem with character models and voice acting, story short pleasant and nice visual style and an easy finish means that most will enjoy their brief time with the game. Those who have played the previous title of Artifex Mundi will know if they want it or not depends on their feeling with the previous title, and for those who have not we recommend choosing this one, especially if or when it goes on sale.

Dangun Feveron is an arcade game in 1998 which spilled out of the factory which shuffles the Cave shmup legends like Dodon Pachi, ESP Ra.De. and immediately released the Guwange awesomeness. Feveron kick back and give a shoot 'em up fans all the usual big-ticket items. You fly through space, blasting away at the incoming criminals, to large, end-boss mech-like appear and spewing fireballs and laser spears at you. Shmup typical fare, right? Not too. 

Fresh for this game, is the act of capturing floating man who was expelled from exploding ship you destroy. The larger the ship, the more people come out. Surrounding each person is assumed to be a protective shield. Helpless as an astronaut floats to the bottom of the screen, they become yellow. Points and you build a chain depending on the color of your people ripped off. Blasting ships release more people, more men gathered increasing strength, improving put bad beats over ... you got it ... in other words, it's good to get a space-dudes. Clearly mark Caves multiplier idea, but the fact that they are the ones who actually is a nice change to routine coins or gems bonus items.

As with all games of the cave, it's a pretty good graphics. The company always takes the time to make a clean visual that has the feel of a cartoon-mech. One game Cave future, Progear (1999), actually take the machine, cartoon vibe to the big, entertaining level ... and as Progear, Feveron gives you a lot to shoot. Pour over your enemy with a determination that will destroy Gen.Patton. A good sign of a solid design, is the fact that no matter how many bullets fly, and how many ships zooming, you can always achieve a safe place. Caves mastered this type of design a game where there is always a sweet spot to slide in and out of to make everything feel soooo good!

Accompanying all this blitzness is funky, space-disco songs and themes that give the game funnsy, relaxed vibe. Music never make you feel stressed and I think it really helps when you can groove to the shmup-ness! Beats and visual style, has the feel of a disco-ey. power shots you take dancing disco-odd shape, which eliminate all the enemies on the road, while giving you speeds up to collect the goods. This is a solid shmup shmup from a solid company, Caves, and you would be better to play this game.

Danger Zone 2 is, in everything but name, the direct successor to the beloved Crash mode in Burnout Revenge, in the best way. This game is full of colors of automotive destruction is what I expected when last year's disappointing Danger Zone set the action in somber gray boxes from the warehouse. It all ramps up to the grand finale, in that if you destroy enough car through the conventional way you will be given Smashbreaker - basically a bomb in your car that sent shock waves of explosives to inflict more damage. Once you trigger that you can guide your car to start - in the air - in the direction of another car or a power-up that allows you to save a crash occurs. When the dust settles, the damage is calculated and you get a score that reflects the potential damage you. The formula is always brilliant, and it was every bit as fun here as it ever was.

The change of scenery is the best improvement Danger Zone 2 makes more than its predecessor. Bright sunlight and the open road allows this sequel to lie down, and Crash Test scenarios take advantage of it. Not only Danger Zone 2 was clearly faster than its predecessor - and the visuals do a very good job to convey a sense of speed - but a lot of the intersection now has a sometimes-long run-up to the order of an explosive accident at the end, and secondary objectives welcomed built to turn that the extra driving time. While it's a shame that the Danger Zone 2 only runs at 900p / 30fps in standard Xbox One and 1080p / 30fps on PS4, 1080p / 60fps or 4K / 30fps options offered if you are in the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro (genuine alternative 4K / 30fps X, checkerboarded 4k / 30fps on Pro), or of course the PC is capable. But at least when you fail and need to reload to try again intersection accidents, they are fast loading times.

This extra wrinkles to the level of making the game a bit more involved, but they also provide a glimpse of the usual racing gameplay. Various vehicle with which you play each level has different handling, but in general, it is quite sensitive. You receive points for drifting, but we never really needed as easy to change through every corner of the game - in fact, it might be a little too loose for his own good. By expanding on the gameplay blown-'em-up we know and love, Danger Zone 2 made some nice improvements to the formula. The new location and style of art over life much improve the appearance of the game, while extending its record up to add extra challenge to the rate. Performance can be choppy and vehicle handling land slightly on the wrong side of that generous, but overall, the game still delivers on the promise of the experience Crash mode.

Danger Zone 2 is what I want first danger zone to be: a true follow-up to the classic Burnout Crash mode that EA will not provide. It is not fully fleshed out or polished as my dream game of this type will, but as independent and single-note smash-up shone like a spectacular fireball explosion. Now how to revive the rest of Burnout? Road Rage mode, anyone?

On paper, Danger Zone seems to be a dream come true Burnout fans. In it, the original creators of Burnout will take a crack fresh gameplay that defined their careers - all while the actual IP Burnout gathering dust on the shelf EA. And while it's perfectly create impressive crash modes of gameplay mechanics perspective, it eliminates virtually all Burnout summer-y, personality tongue-in-cheek, and alternative modes. The result is a bare-bones game that's good for a few hours of fun, but do not have the endurance.

Danger Zone is only consists of one mode: Crash Test, Crash Test which includes 20 interchanges. Each Junction is the intersection you start your car at high speed, and they must be approached strategically to inflict maximum damage and collect as many power-ups as possible. Who should you hit first? Where you have to throw your car using Aftertouch air control after triggering your Smashbreaker explosives? All the experiments that made it feel more like a puzzle game than a racer. Also know that you are going to fail, and fail often; Retry button will get a workout. And although the loading time is not too bad on the PS4, they just were not fast enough to be painful.
